The GiroDisc slotted front rotors (part number A1-147) are engineered as direct replacements for the original equipment (OE) discs on the Chevrolet Corvette C7 Z06 and Grand Sport models from 2014 to 2019. These rotors are designed to work seamlessly with the factory calipers, requiring no modifications for installation.

Key Features:

• Direct OE Replacement: Bolts directly to the car without any modifications, maintaining factory brake bias and ABS efficiency.

• Lightweight Design: Each rotor weighs approximately 22.0 lbs, which is about 1.6 lbs lighter per rotor compared to the stock units (23.6 lbs). This reduction in rotational and unsprung weight contributes to improved acceleration and suspension responsiveness.

• High-Quality Materials: The central hat section is crafted from U.S.-sourced 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, while the disc is made from GiroDisc's proprietary cast iron, poured and machined in the USA.

• Curved Vane Design: Utilizes a curved vane structure to act as a centrifugal pump, effectively forcing cooling air through the disc to enhance heat dissipation.

• Floating Mount System: Features a floating mount system with 12 high-strength alloy steel drive pins, cadmium plated for corrosion resistance. This design allows for axial and radial float between the hat and disc, accommodating heat expansion and helping the rotor self-center between the pads.

Once installed, when the cast iron rotor wears out, only the disc needs to be replaced, as the hat can be reused. The rotors are sold and priced per pair.
